APPELLATE MATTERS-How do I record my initial case information?

To Record your Initial Case Information in Appellate Court you must login using your NYSCEF account.  In NYSCEF select the Appellate Court link and the department you wish to file in. Under "Prior to Perfection" select "Record Initial Case Info (Appellant) . You will enter the County and the Court of original instance and continue to submit the information requested on each new page. Each Appellate Division has their own website that you might find helpful. Please click on Authorized Courts and Case types to view .

Electronic Filing Rules of the Appellate Division  may also provide  some significant sections particularly with time frames and procedures that may guide you.
