There are a number of legal situations where a certification order is filed: adoptions and appellate practice, for example. The term often occurs in local court rules. After the court is satisfied that parties have complied with the Preliminary Conference Order and all subsequent Compliance Orders to complete discovery. the court will issue a certification order. After the certification order has been issued, a Note of Issue with Statement of Readiness may be filed.
